Getting Started

• Creating an account: Click "Sign Up" on the homepage. Use your valid CUI VC email address and a strong password. Pakistani learners may need to provide CNIC/B-Form/Phone number for verification.
• Activating your account: Check your email for a confirmation link. Click the link to activate your account.
• Logging in: Use your registered email and password. If you forget your password, click "Forgot Password" to reset it.
• Profile setup: After logging in, go to your dashboard → "Account Settings" to update your full name, profile picture, and contact information.

Enrolling in Courses

• Browsing courses: Visit the "Courses" or "Catalog" page. Use filters to search by category (AI, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, etc.) or skill level.
• Enrollment options: Click on a course card → "Enroll Now". Some courses are free (audit track), while micro-credentials require payment. Follow the payment gateway instructions.
• Accessing enrolled courses: Go to your dashboard → "My Courses". Click on the course thumbnail to enter the learning environment.
• Unenrolling: If you wish to drop a course, go to the course page → "Unenroll". Refund eligibility is governed by our Terms of Service.

Earning Micro-Credentials

• Upon successfully completing all graded requirements and achieving the passing score, you will receive a digital certificate / micro-credential within 14 days.
• Certificates can be downloaded from your dashboard under "Credentials". They are verifiable via a unique URL.
• Stackable micro-degrees: Accumulate multiple micro-credentials from a predefined track. Once all required courses are completed, you can request the micro-degree from the Virtual Campus office.

Technical Requirements & Browser Support

• Recommended browsers: Latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.
• Internet speed: At least 2 Mbps for smooth video playback.
• JavaScript & Cookies: Must be enabled. The Open edX platform relies heavily on JavaScript for interactive content.
• Mobile access: The platform is responsive and works on smartphones/tablets via a web browser. There is no dedicated mobile app at this time.
• Proctoring (if applicable): Some exams may require a webcam and microphone. Detailed proctoring setup instructions will be provided in the course.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

• Videos not playing? Try refreshing the page, clearing browser cache, or disabling ad-blockers.
• Assignment not saving? Check your internet connection. Ensure you clicked "Submit". Try a different browser.
• Deadline passed? Late submissions are generally not accepted unless an extension was granted by the instructor before the deadline.
• Cannot see my course? Ensure you are logged into the correct account. If you just enrolled, wait 5 minutes and refresh.
• Certificate not showing? Verify you have met all passing criteria. Certificates are generated within 14 days after the course end date.
