CUI LEARN Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or enrolling in any course on LEARN (the "Platform"), you ("Learner" or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, the main CUI Virtual Campus Disclaimer (available at https://www.vcomsats.edu.pk/disclaimer), and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Services

LEARN offers micro-credentials, stackable micro-degrees, and hybrid/online learning in areas such as AI, data analytics, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. CUI Virtual Campus reserves the right to withdraw, amend, or restructure any program listed on LEARN without liability, in accordance with the Institute's academic rules and regulations.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

  • You must be at least 16 years old (or 18 for programs requiring certification for employment).
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities under your account.
  • Shared accounts are prohibited and may result in revocation of credentials.

4. Enrollment, Fees, and Refunds

  • Course Fees: Displayed in PKR (or USD for international students) before enrollment. Fees are subject to change without notice for future cohorts.
  • Payment: Full payment required before course access is granted. We are not liable for third-party payment processor errors.
  • Refund Policy:
    • As per HEC refund policy
    • Micro-credentials already issued are non-refundable.

5. Academic Integrity and Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Plagiarize, use unauthorized aids during exams, or submit work done by others.
  • Share your login credentials or allow others to complete coursework on your behalf.
  • Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the CUI LEARN platform.
  • Harass instructors or fellow learners in forums.
Consequences: Violations may result in course failure, revocation of micro-credentials, permanent ban from LEARN, and referral to CUI disciplinary authorities.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

  • CUI Content: All course materials are owned by CUI Virtual Campus or its licensors. You may download for personal, non-commercial study only. You may not resell, redistribute, or create derivative courses.
  • Learner Content: You retain ownership of assignments you submit. By submitting, you grant CUI a perpetual, royalty-free license for course evaluation, improvement, and accreditation purposes.
  • Micro-credentials: Digital badges and certificates are trademarks of CUI. You may display them on LinkedIn or your CV but may not alter them or claim false accreditation.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM AND ALL COURSES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CUI VIRTUAL CAMPUS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that completion of a micro-credential will guarantee employment.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Pakistani law, CUI Virtual Campus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount of fees paid by you for the specific micro-credential giving rise to the claim.

9. Links to Third-Party Sites

As stated in the main CUI Link Disclaimer, links to external websites are provided as a courtesy and do not constitute an endorsement. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party sites.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any unresolved dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Islamabad, Pakistan under the Pakistan Arbitration Act, 1940. You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action.

12. Force Majeure

CUI Virtual Campus shall not be liable for any delay or failure resulting from causes outside its reasonable control, including internet outages, power failures, natural disasters, or pandemics.

13. Entire Agreement and Severability

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the main CUI Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
